Tips on Tripods
1. Tripods are an excellent investment for your surveillance equipment. They stabilize your view, minimize shaking, and allow you a long-term view from a fixed position.
2. Tripod adapters are available separately, but many tripod models for spotting scopes, cameras, and binoculars come with integrated tripod adapters.
3. If you are looking for something to use indoors in a smaller space, consider a tabletop tripod. An added advantage of these small, lightweight models is that they fit easily into camera bags or suitcases.
4. One option for a smaller, more confined space is a monopod. Monopods are not as stable as tripods, but they work well on most terrains, and are lightweight and easy to carry and set up.
5. Be sure to do your research when purchasing a tripod, and don't be afraid of paying a little extra for a quality model. Tripods are a long-term investment, as they could very well outlive your equipment.
