The ultimate UV and Infrared blocker, Celestron's UV/IR cutoff filter features ion-beam-hardened coatings, and fine optically polished glass. This filter has an extremely sharp cutoff at 690nm, yet leaves all visible red light, including the important 656nm H-alpha emission line. This prevents IR wavelengths from blurring fine detail in your digital images, making it ideal for CCD imaging.

High-performance features

  • Freedom from ghost images (very low reflection multi-coating) enables pinpoint star images and fine planetary detail;
