Comments about Barska 25-125x88 Benchmark Waterproof Spotting Scope:
Just recieved(fast shipping). Bought for use at the rifle range but can't get out till after Christmas. So I took it to the back yard. Wow! Really nice optics. Clear as a bell & great focus. Can't wait to get it on the bench. A great package with the really nice padded metal carrying case. The only shortcoming might be the light tripod. It seams to be a little light for a large scope. I'll know after I get it on a bench at the range. From what I can tell, very satisfied!!! Seams to be a great deal.

Comments about Barska 25-125x88 Benchmark Waterproof Spotting Scope:
I've had this for a couple weeks now and have had a chance to run it through it's paces. My biggest complaint is the way it's focused. Rather than a little wheel at the back, you turn the whole front end of the scope. This is how you manually focus an SLR camera, so I thought it would work great, but it is nearly impossible to hold the image steady while you focus, especially at high power. Otherwise I'd probably give this scope five stars. It is not razor sharp at 125X, but what other scope even goes this high? At the 25x-60x range of most other scopes, it is quite sharp. I'd say the optical performance for this price is phenominal. You'd probably have to pay at least twice this to get a significant improvement in optical performance, but you still wouldn't get the maximum power of this scope. I was looking at Longs Peak from a hill on the east side of Lafayette and I think I could have seen a person standing on the top, had there been one. I'm guessing the distance at between twenty and thirty miles.
