The Barska 8-24x58 WP Benchmark is designed to provide an extreme and comprehensive level of spotting pleasure to both shooters and nature explorers. It features a 58mm lens with 8x to 24x magnification. The field of view (feet per 100 yards) is 225/75 at 8x magnification and 19/8 at 24x magnification. It is nitrogen-purged and sealed to prevent fogging and internal corrosion. It is O-ring-sealed for complete waterproof protection. It has twist-up eyecups to adjust eye relief and it comes with a limited lifetime spotting scope warranty. This scope comes with a premium soft case and an Accu-Grip handheld tripod that can be added to a tripod for an extension and grip.

            The scope is being used at my workplace to read electric meters from a distance/outside of yards. The clarity of the scope is excellent and the magnification is very good. However, if the scope is bumped against something or is dropped only once, one of the prisms inside the scope breaks loose making the scope useless. There is no way to get inside to make any repairs.

            Q1: 1. How much eye relief do I need with eyeglases? This has 19 mm at 8x but what is it at 24x? 2. Is there a scope like this but angled?

            A: Hi Mr. Wells, thank you for your email. The eye relief at 24x magnification is 14.5 mm. So, it should still easily accomodate eyeglasses. (I recommend 13mm or higher) And this is a pretty rare scope (especially for the price) so there is not a model similar with an angled eyepiece. Sorry! Best Regards, Denny
