Comments about Bushnell 15-45x70 ImageView 5MP Camera Spotting Scope:
Better than I expected, very clear, good pics too.
Comments about Bushnell 15-45x70 ImageView 5MP Camera Spotting Scope:
Good first stab at a digiscope. lacks several features but the price was so good I cant complain. the worst thing is that you have to slide a big knob from scope to camera to take a pic and it moves the whole scope. but well worth the price. eyepiece and optics are very good.

Comments about Bushnell 15-45x70 ImageView 5MP Camera Spotting Scope:
Bought this scope for casual bird watching. It's lightweight and works great for when we're not seriously searching for unusual birds. Camera works for identifying only because of it's focus complications but does what I want for the money. Was amazed at the clarity and magnification of the scope ~ camera, not so much.

Comments about Bushnell 15-45x70 ImageView 5MP Camera Spotting Scope:
This is a very nice scope, and I am very pleased with the results. Very bright, s that you van see in shadows. can even see clouds at night. Only problem is that after use for about 10 seconds it will say dead battery and shut off. i turn it back on and it says the batterys are full. Overall just a minor setback and it is a very nice scope+camera.

Comments about Bushnell 15-45x70 ImageView 5MP Camera Spotting Scope:
The scope/camera comes with just about everything you need. You'll want to buy an SD memory card (less than $20) because the camera can only hold about a dozen images at highest resolution. Switching from viewing to camera use is costly in terms of time - about three seconds, plus another ten or so for the camera to come alive. The shutter lag is greater than a second, so what you see may not be what you shoot. Most wildlife don't care and won't wait for you, so you have to anticipate your shot. Great scope and camera, though. Highly recommend it. Light weight, comes with table-tripod, shutter release, USB cable, and padded carry case.

Q1: I wanna take pics of birds for identification, will the 15-45x magnification be enough for clear, crisp pics from a few hundred ft?
A: The Bushnell 15-45x70 ImageView 5MP Camera Spotting Scope can magnify clearly up to 45x magnification. The 5mp digital camera is more than capable of taking a nice, crisp picture. Depending on your subject, taking a great picture from a few hundred feet should not be a problem.
Q2: Can you store pictures on a memory card?
A: Yes, this spotting scope can accept SD cards for storing pictures.
Q3: Is this scope weatherproof?
A: This scope is not waterproof, so I would not recommend using it around moisture or in the rain.
