Q1: I'm planning to buy Celestron C5 127mm. My purpose is to pair it with my SLR camera so I could have better shots. My questions are: 1. Is the T-adapter standard for all camera types? 2. Is the T-mount standard for all camera types? or is there a specific T-mount per camera model? 3. Are those the only two accessories needed to pair the Celestron C5 127mm with a camera?
A: Yes. You will only need those two pieces to begin astrophotography. The T- adapter is a standard 1.25inch size that will fit on most current telescopes. The T-ring that attaches to your camera is going to have to fit the make and model of your camera. T -rings are listed on our site by camera brand so they are easy to locate for you. Once you have these two pieces, you are ready to thread them together on your telescope and begin taking pictures.
