The Camera-Eyepiece DC4 for all ZEISS Diascope spotting scopes unites both features in one device and defines "Digiscoping" - digital photography through a spotting scope - in a new, fascinatingly easy manner:

  • No time lost aligning camera and eyepiece.

    Designed for the ZEISS Diascope spotting scope, the innovative DC4 camera eyepiece is expected to be available in early 2007, as a limited edition.

  • High-quality optical observation eyepiece : 40x (with Diascope 85 T* FL) or 30 x (with 65 T* FL) magnification.

  • Inscribed reticle for framing image in the eyepeice or on the camera display.

  • Constant image monitoring in the eyepiece, even during image capture.

  • Rubber-armored, water resistant housing for use in almost all weather conditions.

  • Push/pull eyecups for eyeglass wearers and non-eyeglass wearers.

  • Advanced 4 MPx camera and innovative signal processing with DxO image software for outstanding images which can be enlarged to 8x10.

  • F 6.4 and long focal length for impressive pictures, even of far-away wildlife scenes.

  • Large 1.8" display for image review and menu operations.

  • Hands-off image capture via remote control for steady images.

  • Camera setup for ISO, white balance and many other camera parameters via remote control.

  • SD card to store images.

  • USB and Video ports to connect to a computer or TV.

  • Powered by standard batteries, rechargeable batteries or plug in power adaptor.





  • The DC4 camera eyepiece is attached to the spotting scope instead of a standard observation eyepiece.

  • First focus the reticle with the image field boundary by turning the eyecup. This personal setting must only be performed once.

  • The spotting scope is used to focus the image as usual. The focus is evaluated and the image section selected through the eyepiece or on the display.

  • The picture is taken vibration-free by pressing a button on the remote control. Without disturbing you can continue looking through the eyepiece to the image.
