These just went on a kayaking trip to the Washington Coast. Fit perfectly in the pocket of my PFD and was in constant use. Outstanding optics. These are going to go with me everywhere. I plan on climbing Kilimanjaro next year and these are going with me.

Just got back from kayaking on the Washington coast. These little gems fit in the pocket of my PFD and were instantly handy. Amazing clarity, size & weight. These will go up Rainier, fly fishing, hiking, everywhere!

As a birder (retired) I have good optics: Leica binocs & scope. But until now it seemed that my binocs were always at home when I needed them. No longer. These 8x20s are with me when I go out ... on the deck, on a walk, in the car ... and always at the ready.

My first surprise was at the brightness of the image. With only a 2.5mm exit pupil (compared to 6mm for my 7x42s) I did not expect a bright image. I am impressed each time I use them.

Next surprise was the ability to focus up close ... I mean seven feet or so. My cat spots bees first & then I lock in on them. The clear image of a bee or butterfly just beyond reach is something I could never do with my birding binocs.

& last I have to mention comfort. They are around my neck as I type this ... I forgot to take them off when I came in from the deck. I have no excuse now for missing a closer look at something special.

As with all Leica optics, I just use soap & water in the sink to wash off the grime picked up in normal daily use ... with full confidence in the waterproof seal and gas-filled housing I have never had a moisture problem.

I chose the rubber coated binocs (VS leather) simply because I found them easier to hold. I tried both for a day or two and then returned the leather ones (although they were beautiful). They were great to let me try both & let my hands decide. Good folks to do business with.
